The firm provides investigative design, survey, and construction services to government agencies and municipalities, private concerns, and the insurance industry.

HISTORY The engineering consulting firm of Michael
Benza & Associates, Inc. was established in 1972, with Michael Benza as
President, and became a professional corporation in 1975.
The firm has grown since then and has made significant contributions to
the civil engineering field. These
have been through a variety of clients in both the public and private sectors in
the State of Ohio. GOAL The goal of our firm is to provide quality, professional engineering and surveying services through the preparation of detailed drawings and specifications that result in accurate bid proposals. This provides savings in construction, operation, and maintenance for our clients. We emphasize personal service and client satisfaction on each project. We recognize that our clients require a project to be completed on time and with client awareness. We especially take pride in our repeat clients. SERVICES Michael Benza & Associates, Inc.
offers a wide range of engineering, surveying, and planning services.
Our multi-skilled staff and use of technically advanced equipment makes
this possible. We have provided services to many villages, cities, counties, and
sewer districts in Ohio. Several of
these municipalities are represented on a continuing basis, while others are on
a project basis. Our services range
from minor sewer investigation, to preparation of plans and specifications for
major capital projects. Our experience also includes projects for private
developers, architects/engineers, contractors, owners, and projects with state
and federal agencies. FACILITY The physical resources available to the project staff include all equipment, furniture and supplies for a 40-person engineering firm. Our staff occupies approximately 10,500 square feet of office space in Brecksville, Ohio. COMPUTER SOFTWARE The company has a vast number of computer programs in its library ranging from word processing to civil engineering design packages to utilities. The company attempts to maintain updated versions of each program in its library. The Design and CAD staff primarily use AutoCad Land Development Desktop, along with the Civil module. EPANet and Heasted Methods design programs are also available to assist in the design process. The Survey staff use both Land Development Desktop Survey module and Carlson Field Survey to download the data collectors from the field crews and to create topographical and other site information required. The Administrative and Support staff have WordPerfect, Quattro Pro, Word, and Excel available. The office is networked through a Windows 2003 Server with Windows XP running on the workstations.
